lovestories

instead of trying to assimilate the kanji being fed to us by sensei, i ended up watching 2 hallmark lovestories ...
what the heck, it was a saturday nite anyway :)

i rarely watch anything on hallmark but while surfing the tv looking for something worthwhile to do (i.e. other than study of course), i got a glimpse of a familiar face on the hallmark channel.
i could not quite map the name with the face as i am wont to do but i remarked on how she has aged gracefully and still have that svelte figure from her teens.

so that was the beginning of a marathon of 2 love stories.
the 1st was entitled "back to me and you" and the 2nd, "love comes softly".
both had the theme of finding love again. the 1st with the same man and the 2nd was with another one.
the stories were simple and the endings were happy.
that is how i want my lovestories anyways so it was a worthy 2hrs+ watching tv instead of studying. :D

sepsis

according to http://www.nlm.nih.gov:

Sepsis is a severe illness caused by overwhelming infection of the
bloodstream by toxin-producing bacteria.
In sepsis, blood pressure
drops, resulting in shock.
Major organs and systems, including the kidneys, liver, lungs, and
central nervous system, stop functioning normally. And mind you,
the mortality rate is more than 50%.

I am blogging about this because my family had a really close encounter
with this a few months back. and boy was it a real scare. instead of a
holiday planned in san remigio, we ended up holed in a local hospital.

despite the thousands of pesos spent on meds, hospital bills, docs fees,
not to mention the sleepless nights in the hospital, i am so thankful to
God for giving my dad a new lease on life.
thanks also to my tita doc who was so right to the point in detecting
my pa's condition. u see, early detection is the key to sepsis. plus the
discount we got because of tita doc. :)

and yes, treating open wounds immediately does help. bacteria
is everywhere and when it enters your bloodstream and all other
elements are ripe, better start praying for the best....

PMS

7/6/2006
2:00 am

had italian food for dinner with a side dish of PMS
and gelato topped with juicy office gossip for dessert...
of course with the friendships (i.e. the remaining nsp loyalists)

PMS btw is Post-Merit Syndrome as coined by one of the
friendship divas ;)

PMS is characterized by (me as):
-> proliferation of spam-like emails containing random congratulations
interspersed with rants on the latest performance eval results
-> endless IP messages still with rants on the latest performance
eval results
-> jabber-chats still with questions and hypothetical answers on
the latest performance results.
-> sit-down dinners with friends to further dissect the latest
performance eval results.
-> insomnia brought about by constant thinking of the
performance eval results.
-> this malady would sometimes last for a few days after the
announcement of performance eval results to up to several months.
-> terminal cases have been noted which results in eventual
severance of ties with the "beloved" company.

**kapuy man diay mag himo og dictionary sa? ehehehe...

hay...
till the next PMS season na pud...
unless i can finally make that great escape...
