take a bow :)

last friday, another one of the friendships said her goodbye to nsp.

i used to have a personal thought ( mae used to echo this by the way ) that she would be the last friendship standing in nsp.

but this was not to be.
despite all the major adjustments she and her family has to make because of her decision to take that leap of faith, all it takes is the willpower to change.

and for that,
take a bow mae :)

there is hope after all

there was a refreshing news i read sometime this week.
the daughter of a taxi driver returned the valuables left by a british national in his father's taxi. it really touched my heart to learn that the driver was afraid of being reprimanded as to why he took some time before he gave back the lost articles.
for sure, the temptation of keeping it for themselves was too great.
it would have meant having enough food on their table or a new roof or walls for their house or tuition for the children.
but honesty prevailed and for that i salute that family. :)

and something closer happened just today.
a friend dropped his mobile fone on the way to a seminar. after some futile attempts at calling my friend's number, my fone finally dropped dead. however, God sure works in mysterious ways plus the unfailing help of St. Anthony. the finder was an upright man who had found the mobile fone on the sidewalk and was not able to respond to my earlier text messages simply because he does not know how to operate it :) we also found one other purpose for video call :)

suffice to say, despite all the materialism that abounds, good values are still alive out there.
alleluia :)
